My brother at brunch. In the words of John Green, and to borrow a theme from T.S. Eliot, “Argyle is the visible reminder of the invisible nerdfighter.”

Ayden: “Step aside, fangirls. We’re in love.”
Me: I love that they’re friends, considering that they hardly shared any screen time. Plus this means that Tom Hiddleston and I are only separated by THREE DEGREES.
Ayden: MAKE HIM DATE ME
Ayden: YOU HAVE THIS POWER
Ayden: RIGHT
Ayden: RIGHT
Ayden: Three degrees grants you this power
Me: Honey, I’m sorry. I know you technically saw him first, but all’s fair in Hiddles and war.
Ayden: NOOOOOOOOOOOo
A few of the many awesome photos taken by JessyLou D’Aprile of Louography at the Mongrel Jews show at Columbia City Theater this past weekend. By far the swankiest venue we’ve ever played, hence bringing in a bassist and fiddler!
Aaron and me at the Emerald City Comic Con. Never go zombie-fighting without your trusty ukulele, ma always said.
I…I think I have a problem.

Here’s one from the small series I made last weekend. (in case I don’t find time on my birthday tomorrow to post the rest.) Fun fact, this was the first test shot and it turned out to be one of my favorites.

Took me a few minutes to notice it was a birthday candle.

Oh my god, yes! I can’t tell you how happy I am that this is still there.
When I lived in Lansing, MI, we’d occasionally drive past this garage and wonder what it meant. Was it a request (“JJ, live here!”) perhaps made by a psycho girlfriend trying to convince her guy to take it to the next level? Or was it supposed to be “JJ lives here,” because JJ was tired of his friends calling and saying, “Now, which garage door did you say we should knock on?” Maybe JJ was a band or musician who performed live in that garage on a regular basis?
The world may never know.
