She painted a mogwai playing the ukulele; why are we still talking about this?

When I was in Michigan a couple months ago, Corey Marie and Kathy and I spent one lazy day being arts-and-crafty. Corey does a lot of beautiful work with old, repurposed books, and in her collection I found a book of “adventure stories for boys” focusing on American legends of the Old West. These portraits just cried out for watercolors, and even though I’m not terribly familiar with the medium, I feel like they turned out quite nicely.

CoreyMarie is my former roommate and BFF. What she doesn’t mention is that, when we lived together, we also co-owned an orange tabby named Sgt. Pepper.
